McIntyre-Sassy Safari Tent, Ranch Land

One part glamping all part Sassy. The McIntrye at nearly 220 sq ft with its Large Soaking Tub, Robes and Organic Toiletries, is anything but roughing it. Other amenities include microwave, refrigerator, record player, vintage games, books and more. Casa Estrella • Luxury Yurt — Cerca del Cielo

Climate controlled! What is a Yurt? Yurts originated in Mongolia. The Mongolian people were nomadic, and they took their homes (yurts) with them as they tended to, and traveled, with their livestock. Today yurts are built on a platform & consist of two thick layers of canvas with a layer of insulation in between, and most notably a domed skylight at their center. 5 mins to Alpine, 30 mins to Fort Davis, Marfa, and Marathon. Big Bend Park, Terlingua, & Lajitas are roughly 100 miles away.

Mountain View Guest House

A well-maintained guesthouse with the feel of the Old West. Located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but just minutes from downtown, the guesthouse is 30 feet from our house. We are very respectful of your privacy, and all of the facilities are yours to use. Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy the view, or visit with our livestock. We are pet-friendly. Relax around the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites.

A 3 minute drive from the town center or a nice 15 minute walk. 1 hour drive to Big Bend National Park, 1 hour to McDonald Observatory, and 30 minutes to Marfa. The ideal capacity for the apartment is 2 adults and one child. The fold out futon-style chair is best suited for a child or small teenager. Quiet neighborhood, dark skies preserve. No cleaning fee!
