Excellent views from our cheerful house by the sea

Our quaint, cosy house in Ferryden offers a wonderful holiday or short break experience for 2/3 people. The views from the house are stunning, ideally located just 15 steps from a small beach, or a short walk to the lighthouse. There's a village pub closeby, a good bus service and only a 20 -30 minute walk to Montrose where you'll find excellent restaurants and pubs, cinema, and a train station. There are so many things to do in the area including walking, fishing, photography, bird watching.

The Tower, Thornton Castle

Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Dundee is half-an-hour's drive south and Aberdeen an hour's drive northwards.

The “Wee Bothy” offers a great base to explore the North East Coast, our scenic Angus Glens, and nearby Towns and Cities with places of interest all around. The Seaside/Harbour town of Arbroath is a 5 min drive away, with lots of lovely Cafes, Restaurants, Cinema and Theatre. Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.

The Neuk

If you are looking for a cosy cottage to relax , do some walking or exploring The Neuk is for you . Set in the beautiful Angus countryside we have a beautiful waterfall within walking distance at the Reekie Lynn. Only a 10 min drive away from nearest town and 30 min from nearest city in the area. The Cateran Trail is on the doorstep. We have local golf courses in the area also . SORRY NO PETS , 3rd party bookings or trades people allowed.

The perfect place for two. Wood House (formerly the Loft) is an open plan apartment , created in 2019. Surrounded by the woods and fields of secluded , from this little place you can walk or cycle for miles, undisturbed; or be still, and listen to the silence. Red squirrels scamper. Red kites soar. We have another holiday let, The Tin House, available if you wanted to come with friends or family or Wood House is fully booked.
