This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! For those fishing, there is plenty of off-street parking for your boat and there is a well-equipped fish cleaning station that also includes lockable freezers to store your bait and catch.

The first thing that attracted me to the area was the quiet .Surrounded by nature with walking trails close by it’s a place to decompress from a busy life. Whilst I understand that Thompson Beach is a crabbing beach there is no cleaning / cooking of crabs or cleaning /gutting fish at the hideaway. All life is cared for and respected at the hideaway
