Anitsaion Country House

Anitsaion Country House is a breathtaking complex of two stone buildings, in one of the most peaceful spots in Aegina. It is a cosy place and fully equipped with everything you will need. It has no stairs except the access to the roof-garden. There you can enjoy your coffee or your breakfast under the sun. You can also relax in the hammock and enjoy the view of Aiginas clear sky.

Το διατηρητέο, λιθόκτιστο, πλατυμέτωπο (καπετανέικο) “κόκκινο σπίτι” του καπετάν-Ρίζου, καραβοκύρη της εποχής, δεσπόζει στο κανάλι του Πόρου από το 1851 και έχει φτάσει πλέον στην 6η γενιά της οικογένειας. Ένα σπίτι γεμάτο ιστορία και αναμνήσεις που έχουν μείνει ζωντανές από γενιά σε γενιά. Στο σπίτι αυτό πέρασε καλοκαίρια της ζωής του και ο ποιητής Κωστής Παλαμάς.
