Sitting traditionally among sheep above Loch Awe, couples, writers, photographers, bird watchers, hill walkers, swimmers wishing to get away can do so here. Relax by the woodburning stove, put the whistling kettle on for a cup of tea, watch the birds or walk into the hills behind or down to the lochside to wild swim, fish or make a bbq. Welcome to 'Willow' – a handcrafted hideaway in a peaceful meadow on the Isle of Arran. Featuring: - a cosy bed with blankets and cushions - electric heater - a compact kitchenette with a Nespresso machine - an en-suite bathroom with shower & toilet - games, books and art supplies You’ll find us in the south of the island, in Whiting Bay. Within walking distance you’ll find a local grocery and coffee shop, a Thai restaurant and a pub serving food. Dyemill Bike Park is a 20-minute cycle away.

A good base for hikers as the nearest route approaches Goatfell from Glen Sannox via the Saddle onto North Goatfell. Walking distance to a local pub Corrie Hotel and Mara fish bar.

Ethel’s Coorie Doon is a self-contained shepherd’s hut nestled within the grounds of Craig Villa Guest House. Fully insulated, fully equipped, and boasts mountain views. Ethel's Coorie Doon is perfect for couples and solo adventurers who want to explore the local area. We welcome up to 2 furry friends, but please note, there is a pet fee of £14. We provide information for local walks and hidden gems, local restaurants and pubs. We provide free parking and storage if you arrive by bike.

Get away from it all in our shepherd's hut located just outside the village of Connel and only a ten minute drive from the bustling seaside town of Oban. The accommodation is located on our family croft (we live on site near to the shepherds hut) with ducks, hens, Hebridean sheep and our two ponies as your closest neighbours. We are surrounded by abundant wildlife such as pine martens and red deer and have outstanding views over unspoiled countryside towards the slopes of Ben Cruachan.

Surrounded by fields there can on occasion be farm smells and sounds of tractors sowing,spreading or harvesting.
