Private & Secluded! This famous river & writing retreat, built based on nature's Fibonacci Sequence, was designed by architect Will Martin. It's hosted writers such as Cheryl Strayed, author of "Wild". Located on 22 acres & privately situated on a beautiful river in the midst of a true PNW woodland. Uniontown Boat View Loft

The Uniontown Boat View Loft is an upstairs apartment in an old duplex building, situated directly beside the Oregon coastal highway 101, giving it close access to bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and the piers. The windows look over the 101, nearby businesses, the Astoria-Megler bridge, and the Columbia River, where barges pass regularly. Please keep in mind that this is an older, quirky home! Works best for travelers who want a comfy, not a modern, space.

Capt Johnson House; history with river views

Enter with your passcode and you'll be welcomed by the parlor’s 10-foot ceilings. Your river view, two-bedroom suite, shower/bath and laundry are up the stairs. This landmark home was built in 1875 and is named for Captain Eric Johnson, a Swedish immigrant and riverboat pilot. The kitchenette has a microwave, mini fridge, hot pot and coffee maker. Owner lives onsite per city code, though there are no shared spaces. Astoria Homestay Lodging: 21-03.
