Hidden River Cottage is a totally self-contained, two-level villa with its own plunge pool, garden, kitchenette, bathroom, separate entrance and large double bedroom. Hidden River Cottage adjoins the larger "Hidden Villa" (please see our other listing) but your privacy is guaranteed through the separate entrance and private courtyard. Guests have complete, exclusive access to Hidden River Cottage. There is a separate entrance and small, private, entrance courtyard. As the guests prefer. We appreciate and respect guest privacy first and foremost. However, should guests wish to be more engaged, we love sharing our enthusiasm about the area and about things to do in Bali. We can also help arrange transport, scooter hire, surf school, cooking classes, spa treatments and excursions etc. We have six staff that service both Hidden River Cottage and Hidden Villa. The staff will clean Hidden River Cottage and be available if any problems arise. We are also frequently in Bali and will be easily contactable. Hidden River Cottage is a stone’s throw to the surf in Pantai Nelayan (‘Fisherman’s Beach’), Canggu. Located in a peaceful, highly prized residential enclave, the cottage has a dream location—close enough to walk to the beach and many local cafes. Guests can walk to the beach and the nearest cafe/warung within two minutes. Many other attractions and places to eat and drink are also within a short stroll away. To explore the rice fields and Balinese villages of Canggu we recommend renting a scooter or two. We can help arrange this. We can also help you hire taxis or rent a car (and driver) for short trips or longer excursions. We can also help organise airport transfers. Please contact us for details. Hidden River Cottage is great for single travelers or couples. As it only has one bedroom it can only accommodate two adults maximum. We can provide a cot for couples traveling with babies. There is a safety box in the bedroom. There are strong ceiling fans throughout Hidden River Cottage and an AC unit in the bedroom. Please also note, we don't provide breakfast but the nearest place for this is only a two minute walk away (and there are many more breakfast and brunch options within a 5-10 minute walk). We also don't have a back-up generator but this generally isn't a problem as power cuts are quite rare (we've only experienced two in the last 12 months). Also, please note, that as Hidden River Cottage adjoins the larger Hidden Villa, the noise from guests in Hidden Villa can sometimes be heard in Hidden River Cottage. For the most part this isn't a problem but sometimes we do get bookings in Hidden Villa of up to 10 guests, some of which are excitable children. To mitigate this, we do ask that guests in Hidden Villa keep the noise down and behave in a respectful manner to the guests in Hidden River Cottage (and vice versa) and to neighbours and the local community more generally. This is spelled out in the "house rules section" of Hidden Villa's listing (please see our other listing) and in an Information Sheet we send to all guests before check in.
