Lay in bed at night and listen to river that runs the entire length of the property. The house has a full kitchen with seating for 6. Spacious living room for relaxing or admiring one of the many birds that visit all year round. Two upstairs bedrooms and office space. If you’re looking for serenity, peace and quiet, you've found it, amidst a 250 acre private estate. On a lake at the end of a mile long driveway (well plowed in the winter) Is Snowshoe Cabin. Built in 1929 as the garage for "Lakefalls Lodge, it's been completed renovated into a luxurious, cozy home with modern amenities. Guests rave about "views of the snowy pond while you’re warm inside" from heated floors and a wood burning stove with free firewood. Spikes provided for wonderful winter walks.

The Hideaway Camp

The Hideaway Camp is a very private cabin on a 100 acre property. There are hiking/x country ski trails on the property and close access to the VAST trails. A scenic 20 acre pond for kayack and canoeing and a brook with a rustic cocktail deck overlooking it. the Jacksonville General store is 2 minutes away and it is warm and friendly with all the groceries you might need. The cabin is well stocked for cooking and with high speed internet you can Watch or stream favorite shows.

OPEN mid-MAY-OCTOBER. Our beautiful one-room custom cabin is on the edge of the woods surrounded by the Rock River. It's freshly appointed, with a king-size bed, is spotlessly clean and very romantic. The cabin has simple cooking facilities (details below) and an outdoor grill, twinkle lights on the deck, hammock, and 2 fire-pits, one by the cabin, and one on the beach. One COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST is included, with homemade popovers, fresh out of the oven. A smoke-free property.
