Welcome to The Burrows, a 1860's stone cottage we have sensitively reimagined & restored, opening it up to take in the ever changing view over Freycinet peninsula. A large living space is the heart of the home with a wood fire at one end, feather sofa, armchairs and a custom made window seat overlooking Great Oyster Bay. Both bedrooms have amazing views over the water & our intimate bath house with clawfoot bath & french doors is the perfect place to watch the sunset reflected over the Hazards

The Stand Alone

The Stand Alone is an intimate, earthy retreat made for 2 Our cabin is a sanctuary where forest meets the sea, a quiet place for communion and reconnection with nature. Amid the salty air and birdsong, our bed looks to the trees and a deep bath with unlimited hot water. Humble living in luxury, the wood stove keeps things cozy and Belgian cushions are perfect for sprawling out in the evenings. Located in sleepy Lufra Cove, a magical corner of Eaglehawk Neck. Set amongst native gum and banksia the cabin overlooks the clear waters of little Norfolk Bay. Externally blending in with its environment and internally featuring detailed timberwork using Tasmanian Oak giving a natural feel. We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Prosser River Retreat

Located on the water front of Prosser River you will find this breath taking retreat. Sit back and relax in this self contained home with modern amenities. Enjoy your days/evenings on the deck with a bbq over looking the river or by the water down at the fire pit. Only minutes walk to local beaches, cafes and restaurants and a short drive to many of the local attractions the east coast has to offer. This is the perfect place for a relaxing trip or an ideal base to explore the East Coast.

Tawny - A little luxury by the bay.

Tawny is a custom built Tiny House, whose name is inspired by the elusive Tawny Frogmouth who live in the area. With luxury bedding and facilities, an outdoor bath and stunning location overlooking Spring Bay, Tawny offers a tranquil, intimate space to relax and unwind from the everyday. A short drive to a choice of amazing beaches and short walks; Maria Island and local eateries. You can relax in the boat shed by day and in the evening, gaze at the stars by the warmth of the fire pit.

Beachfront Studio on Great Oyster Bay

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Listen to the ocean and the birds and enjoy glimpses of the magnificent sunrise and sunset across the bay to Freycinet and Schouten Island. We live next door in a new house, but the Studio has been positioned to ensure your privacy. You have your own beachfront spot to relax on a deckchair. Dolphin Sands is a beautiful beach and offers endless walking and swimming opportunities. Swansea is a 30 minute walk by beach.

Black Shack Orford

With every booking we offer a complementary bottle of Tasmanian wine, sparkling or juice . Blackshack Orford is a lovely modern and relaxing holiday home just one hours drive from Hobart. You instantly feel “at home” at the blackshack. Please Note: Our very last booking weekend will be the 5th June 2026 to allow us to prepare for the sale of our Airbnb/home. Hopefully we can sell as an ongoing business so that you can all still enjoy this amazing space

Once known as Millingtons House, Sunways is a light-filled 1925 home just steps from the river and a short stroll to the ocean beach.
