The rustic lakeside treehouse has two bedroom loft upstairs, one lower bedroom, amazing views of our private lake and an assortment of animals (deer, axis, fallow, elk, and rams) that roam freely on the gated property. Enjoy kayaking, fishing,or lounge around the lake. Plan a trip to Garden of the Gods, Jackson Falls, Tunnel Hill Trail or Shawnee National Forest finishing the evening roasting hotdogs around the fire. *No parties or events allowed during your stay. This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

Peaceful Cottage Retreat

Contactless Check-in. This cottage has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It's private, tranquil setting is surrounded by nature. A queen bed with luxury bedding ensures a peaceful stay. The cottage comfortably accommodates 4 adults with the additional sleeper sofa. The kitchen includes a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and coffeemaker. A cozy gas fireplace inside, and the large patio, gas grill, wood burning firepit, and a shady hammock compliment the outdoor space.

Carbondale Pool House - Sauna, Hot Tub, Dogs OK

Rated in “Top 1%” by Airbnb, the Pool House is a separate cottage surrounded by gardens and swimming pool, with retro "Danish Modern" furniture, a gourmet kitchen and plush beds. We have recently added a Finnish Sauna and Japanese Ofuro Soaking Tub. We accept well behaved dogs for a fee of $35 a night. We allow only guests and friends of the Pool House on the grounds, gardens or pool. Hosts are Jane, anthropologist and D. a retired photojournalist for the New York Times.
