Only five miles from historic downtown New Bern, and Tryon Palace, you can enjoy shopping in town or take a 45 minute drive to Atlantic Beach. This quiet retreat is all at ground level with a private patio. It is wheelchair friendly with wide doorways and no stairs.

Welcome to the beauty and nature of Core Sound! The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and is designed for spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows on 3 sides. Other amenities are a large screen porch, fire pit, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, dogs, joggers, walkers, bikers, fishers and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware.

Morehead city is 15 minutes East on Hwy 70, New Bern is 20 minutes West on Hwy 70.

Emerald Isle Beach is just 5 miles away with its beautiful beach and great public parking which includes a bathhouse and covered seating if you have had just enough sun. Our little place is equipped with beach chairs and other fun beach equipment, so you really don't have to bring anything but yourself.
