DD2 Charming Getaway: Karoo Cottage & Garden

Escape to our stylish cottage in the heart of Prince Albert, Groot Karoo. This charming getaway boasts a spacious room with a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom (and floor-bed for a small child and cot for a smaller child). Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and unwind in your private garden oasis on a comfortable stoep. Located in a tranquil setting, it's perfect for solo travelers or couples seeking relaxation or couples with small kids. Larger groups? Consider booking both cottages!

Karoo Heart

Karoo Heart Luxury Accommodation is a self catering unit. This 3 bedroom unit features a garden with a barbeque, air-conditioned rooms/living room, safe double garage parking, outside parking behind barbwire and security beams also available. Play gym for children. Xtra thick windows in rooms to reduce sound. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, a microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels(explora)is provided in 2 of the 3 rooms and living room.

The Orchard Cottage

Located on the verge of town, you will find The Orchard Cottage, a tranquil self-catering cottage with onsite secure parking and a private entrance. The solar-powered cottage offers a queen-size bed, small single bed; en-suite bathroom with a shower and kitchenette with a microwave, induction plate and Nespresso machine and wifi. The veranda with build-in braai allows for an authentic Karoo experience and the ideal opportunity to appreciate the spectacular night sky.

The Mulberry House, Buffelskloof Getaway

Experience tranquility at The Mulberry House, a 3-bedroom getaway haven. Enjoy seamless indoor-outdoor living with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, and an inviting outdoor deck with your own private hot tub. The luxurious main bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower, while the other 2 bedrooms share a spacious bathroom. Enjoy the panoramic mountain views, providing the ideal backdrop for a rejuvenating peaceful getaway.

This stylish house is perfect for group and family trips. Cool off in the pool after exploring the town or cook a delicious meal together in the open plan kitchen. Fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable getaway. We have specifically kept this house off the grid, no television or WiFi. Take the time to unwind, unplug, relax, enjoy the desert air and star filled skies. For those who need to stay connected, the cell phone reception works well.

Elfen House is equipped with an inverter and backup battery, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to stay connected to the internet, as well as access to lights and TV. This guesthouse is an elegant establishment featuring two bedrooms, accommodating up to four guests, located in the heart of Prince Albert. The guesthouse boasts two en-suite bathrooms and a private plunge pool, providing a delightful retreat for guests to enjoy during warm Karoo days.

Groenfontein Hills - "Peace and tranquility"

Located in the Groenfontein Valley near Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo, this cottage offers a peaceful countryside escape with views of the Swartberg Mountains, minutes from the Calitzdorp wine route and Route 62. Set high on a hill overlooking the valley, it’s ideal for long walks, wide Karoo skies and quiet evenings by the fire. Cool off in the pool in summer or enjoy the indoor fireplace when the nights turn cool.

The Farmhouse

Beautiful & comfortable heritage farmhouse in the historic town of Prince Albert. Quiet and peaceful surrounds, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Large garden full of fruit trees and birds. Please note that most of our guests who book for one night regret not staying longer, so we do recommend longer stays if you have the time!

Kalkfontein Cottage

This beautiful self catering cottage is situated on Grootwaterval farm, situated 45 km from Prince Albert. It is a dirt road to the farm. Here one can enjoy the peace and quiet only a Karoo farm can offer. The cottage is built with rock, has a patio, fire-pit and BBQ facilities. It caters for 2 adults.

The Old School House

The Old School House is a spacious 3 bedroomed, free-standing house which stands alone on a hill overlooking the valley and surrounding Swartberg Mountain range. It is situated on The River Farm on the Gamka river.

Jack of the Karoo

Jack of the Karoo is a lovely old karoo style stone house situated in the heart of Sutherland. The property has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge, braai room / dining room, kitchen as well as secure parking.

The Grey House

Light airy home newly renovated to create a spacious and relaxed atmosphere for travellers. The Grey House has 3 bedrooms with space for 7 people with an outside area. Safe area opposite the school.
