Guest Room 2 The Layer Fox

We have four cosy rooms located to the back of The Layer Fox, a grade 2 listed pub offering fantastic food and beer all year round. All rooms can be made into doubles, twins or singles and all have separate walk in wet rooms. We have 1 easy access room with a slope to the door and shower seat and one family room offering a smaller put-you-up bed for small children. Well behaved dogs are allowed Travel cot available on request Breakfast not included, can be added for an additional £12.50

Our comfortable king-size bedroom with own bathroom, in a separate area upstairs in our house, overlooks a lovely walled garden in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in England. We also have an adjacent smaller twin bedroom which is available for the same group or perfect for families with children (aged 5 upwards). Both bedrooms share the same private bathroom. We are perfectly placed to enjoy beautiful Flatford Mill and Constable country. The coast is nearby too.

400m from the River Orwell, nestled in woodland.

A house nestled in a wooded valley, running down to the River Orwell. It's a perfect spot for walking, bird watching, cycling, and wild swimming. Set in an acre of garden, it’s a tranquil retreat, perfect for those who enjoy the rustle of trees and birdsong. Sparkling rooms aside, a highlight will be the hearty breakfast of homemade bread, newly laid eggs…see our reviews. A pretty, thatched river view pub, serving meals, is within walking distance through the woods. We let four rooms.

Danbury Cottage

Two bedrooms available, one double with King size bed and one single room with own shared bathroom. I serve you continental breakfast included free of charge between 7.30 and 9.00am on request. It is possible to put a temporary bed in the single room. It would be a bit limiting but we will do this on request foc. The kitchen is not available to guests. The dining room can be used with a microwave for hot food. There is a small fridge and tea making facilities in large bedroom.

Romantic 15th century cottage, Long Melford

Magical medieval timbered cottage, looking over the green to the spires of Melford Hall, 5 minutes walk from the huge 14th century Holy Trinity Church (you can hear the bells on Sunday morning). The bustling village centre is just 7 minutes walk away with 3 gastro pubs, various beauty salons, hairdressers, antique & gift shops galore, tea rooms & independent clothes shops. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful rural walks through water meadows by the river and open farmland.

Period Double Room with en-suite shower

As part of the Jolly Good Pubs group, The Marlborough is a friendly and welcoming local pub located in the heart of Dedham Vale. We stock a great range of local ales, craft gins, wines of interest and our home-cooked menus are based on pub classics from local farmers and producers. In the dining rooms we have two large open fires for a cosy atmosphere to enjoy a fireside pint or two after a country walk or in the summer our beer garden has plenty of seating to enjoy the sun!

I’d like to welcome you to my famous ‘Harry Potter’ home. Come & relax in one of my four poster en-suite bedrooms. Fluffy dressing gowns & toiletries provided. Pretty courtyard garden with easy access to the lovely village. There’s a special guest sitting room where you can toast marshmallows & crumpets over the fire. Chill out on the squashy sofa & just relax. There’s plenty to see & do & award winning restaurants within walking distance. Yummy breakfasts too.

Beautiful rural retreat

The Old Rectory is a secluded family home at the end of a long lane just 4 miles from Lavenham. There are large gardens with trampoline and a South facing terrace for tea or evening glass of wine. We are offering it on a bed & breakfast basis or full board. There is a sitting room for guests' use. There are wonderful walks from the house and plenty of storage for bicycles. We have a small holding with chickens, pigs and sheep and a large vegetable patch.
