The Strawberry Box - luxury eco barn conversion

The Strawberry Box is a luxuriously converted old tractor barn located on our working strawberry farm in rural Suffolk. South facing with extensive views across the rolling countryside, it is self contained and private, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break or a base for exploring the rich heritage and beautiful villages around us. There are good pubs within comfortable walking distance and footpaths and narrow lanes to explore close by - or just take a wander around the farm.

The Bakehouse, Coggeshall

Welcome to The Bakehouse. A light-filled, cottage tucked away in our garden, right in the heart of historic Coggeshall. Once a working bakehouse, this one-bedroom retreat blends the character of the old with the ease of the new. Whether you're here for a quiet solo stay, a romantic weekend, or travelling to visit family, there's space to slow down & settle in. Step outside & you’re moments from historic sites, leafy green spaces & charming shops, each with stories woven through the centuries.

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

Cosy 2 bed chalet in stunning 20 acre gardens

Relax & escape the bustle in our 20 acre woodlands & gardens. Our cottage has 1 double bed & 2 singles, a kitchenette suitable only for cooking basic meals, kettle, toaster & fridge with ice box compartment. Powerful shower, bathtub, and a smart TV included. Patio with outdoor furniture in summer to sit and enjoy nature. This is a great bolthole for visiting family, work or exploring the area. Free parking & access to gardens & woodlands which are open to the public. Near Colchester town.

With its own beachside garden and breathtaking uninterrupted views of the wildest of Essex creeks and marshes, the cottage is only to be reached on foot atop a sea wall. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

The Little Blue Cottage A cosy and homely end of mews two bedroom cottage situated on lower Wivenhoe. Located at the end of a quiet gravelled mews out of sight and earshot of the road but just a stones throw away from local amenities (just 120 steps to The Greyhound pub)! At over 150 years old, this charming cottage is packed with original features and has recently been restored to a high standard ensuring a luxurious and comfortable stay with all the latest mod cons.

Riverside gem with a nautical past

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.

Detached Bungalow in Colchester town centre

A modernised bungalow in the centre of the historic town of Colchester. New kitchen fitted December 2024, and a new modern wet room fitted December 2024. 3 minutes walk to high street, the park, and the castle. It has a back garden with plenty space for off road parking in the front garden, including a long van. 7 minutes drive from the A12. 15 minutes walk to the north station with regular trains into London.
