Step out onto the deck for a night of stargazing at this unique geodesic house in the desert with exposed stone, beams, and rustic warmth. Take a hike in the neighboring mountain preserve, then fire up the barbecue in the yard and watch the sunset. Our property consists of two domes and a tower, and this listing is for one of the Domes. It is completely self-contained and private. We have a wonderful, unique, and unusual property consisting of two geodesic domes and a tower. This listing is for the North dome only. Check my other listings for availability of the other spaces. Guests have access to a fabulous view, kitchenette (sink, microwave, mini fridge), bedroom, and living room! Shared washer/dryer and viewing deck. Due to the unusual location we do have security cameras installed. There is a roof camera which you can see at http://www.patrickharvey.com/domes The viewing deck is attached to another bedroom and is a shared space, so please be respectful when using it. There are no stairs except to the viewing deck. The driveway to this property is very steep! The back yard is mountain preserve and there is wildlife that you would expect in the desert, including quail, road runners, rabbits, etc. Amenities include a washer/dryer, barbecue, and the view! Bathroom is your private full bath and includes a hair dryer. We do not live in this property but we visit often. We will be there to check you in and give you a tour of the home. The Sunnyslope area near the Ocotillo Hills is home to luxury properties and many nearby restaurants. The backyard is a mountain preserve and there is plenty of desert wildlife to watch, including quail, road runners, and rabbits.

Take in views that stretch all the way to the mountains from the huge deck of this amazing space, which once featured in Life Magazine. On offer here is one of its 2 domes, consisting of a single huge space infused with a fresh modern vibe. Our property consists of two domes and a tower, and this listing is for one of the Domes. It is completely self-contained and private. The sleeping arrangement is a queen size murphy bed that lifts into the wall when not in use. It is very comfortable, using a regular queen mattress. The room also features a couch, great for enjoying the view! The kitchen includes an electric stove, full size refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Your dome is a stand alone, private apartment. The grounds are shared, and in the center there is a shared washer and dryer. Towards the back of the property there is a staircase leading to the viewing deck, another shared space. This space adjoins the Tower bedroom, so if someone is sleeping there please be respectful. There is a limit of no more than 10 people on the deck. I will make every effort to check you in and show you the property, and we may stop by from time to time. Set out from the trailhead just moments away, with spectacular hiking and mountain biking available in many directions. Phoenix Mountain Preserve is an easy walk, with food stores and restaurants a short drive and golf clubs not much further. Due to the unusual location we do have security cameras for your safety. Ascend the spiral staircase from the cozy sitting area to the bedroom and views out over the desert to the mountains. The outlook is even more spectacular from the huge shared viewing deck. The whole landmark property once featured in Life magazine. The entire property includes two domes and a tower. This listing is for the tower only, and the outdoor spaces are shared. Note that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs! The bedroom has a queen bed and adjoins a large viewing deck which is a shared space. A spiral staircase leads from the downstairs sitting room to the upstairs bedroom. The tower is a completely self contained unit and is not a shared space except for the deck. The deck can be accessed either from the bedroom or from the back stairs. There is no kitchenette nor kitchen appliances, this is strictly a bedroom and bathroom. Normally we expect guests to book this space along with one of the domes if they need additional sleeping space. The tower is self-contained with private access. It is only a bathroom and a sleeping space. You will be sharing the viewing deck, the yard, washer dryer, and BBQ. Take a short drive to the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area nearby, which offers many miles of trails winding through the rocky desert terrain. There's also a handy trailhead just moments from the property, while shops and restaurants are not much further. Visions of falling asleep with stars so close you can almost touch them will dance in your head. Bring your camera because you'll want to catch some falling stars!
