Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Crafted Healing Sanctuary-O.U.R. Ecovillage

O.U.R. ECOVILLAGE's amazing one-of-a-kind 'earthen/strawbale building' located on the 25 ac permaculture farm. The Healing Sanctuary is a beautiful handsculpted learning experience and can fit up to 8 people while you join us in Canada's premiere 'Regenerative Living Demonstration Site. 2 x Q bdrms and 2 x Q pullouts, tea kitchen (mini-firdge), walk-in shower/bathroom. We are zoned as a learning center and your stay includes you in OUR educational programming & tour....consider reserving meals!

Our permaculture farm includes tiny cabins, a swimming creek, and hiking trails. It is located amidst great views, dreamy hikes, nearby rivers and endless stars! Sojourn is ideal for couples and solo adventurers. You’ll love Sojourn's rustic beauty and natural surroundings!

Peaceful haven

Located on the golf course with view of homes harbor, Many beautiful sites to see on Whidbey island. This is a private bath and bedroom where you can use living space also but host lives at the house. For clarity, you are not renting entire house to yourself. Golf ball damage to self or your property is at your own risk, not covered by Airbnb host or golf club. Jetted bathtub that you must be physically able to step over to use. If this is issue, probably not the best place for you to stay.

Glamping on San Juan Island. The Foxes Den is a whimsical Earthen sleeping cabin, nestled in amongst a Douglas fir forest. Fifteen minutes drive from Friday Harbor and less then a 10 minute drive from Lime Kilm state park.
