Welcome! Our place is set up for family/friends relaxation time. Our 2 story log home is located in a rural neighborhood on a shallow stretch of the of the AuSable River just south of Frederic. Minutes from I-75 with park and ride access to snowmobile/ORV trails. Biking, kayaking, skiing, golfing, fishing or trail riding opportunities nearby. A 20 min drive to Gaylord and a 13 min drive to Grayling. The small scenic backyard has direct river access. Deck large enough to accommodate all guests.

Keene Acres

Come enjoy this peaceful piece of country nestled in Maple Forest Township. Centrally located between Grayling, Gaylord, Traverse City and Alpena. Plenty of lakes, rivers, and ORV in the area.Plenty of room for family and pets to explore the great outdoors. All season paradise. Close to snowmobile, ORV, cross country ski trails. Sand Haven/ walking distance to Lake Margrethe

Walking distance to Lake Margrethe where you can enjoying swimming or boating. The public boat launch is just down the road. This home sit on top of a hill with great views. If you are into trail riding/snowmobiling you can access the trails easily from the home. There is a fire-pit to sit around enjoying s'mores. Enjoy beverages on the large covered porch overlooking the woods. You may even see a red fox. Three bedrooms and two baths inside gives you plenty of space. New Weber Grill .

The Cottage at The Busted Grouse is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy an Up North retreat reminiscient of the family cottage they may have grown up with. Located in the heart of the Au Sable River's Holy Water section, we've gone to great lengths to hold true to the mid-century character of the cottage while making modern upgrades of all mechanicals and even a Wolf range. All of the rooms are spacious, allowing for plenty of room to gather or find a secluded spot to relax.

Enjoy nature and wildlife in the Adirondack chairs around the firepit. Traverse City, Mackinaw City, and Alpena are all about an hours drive from the home. Whether you are looking to fly fish, float the AuSable, Golf, Hunt or unwind beneath the pines - we are excited to host you.

Au Sable River Getaway

One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby. A youtube tour is at my site, bill semion, called A tour of the river house 2020. Miniimum Age: 25.

Carey's Cabin

Relax at our quiet place in the woods. Just a short drive to Higgins, Houghton or Kneff lake. Also the AuSable river is near by for fishing canoeing/kayaking. Forest Dunes Golf club and many other Golf courses are not faraway. If you like the ORV trails you can enjoy riding right out of the driveway. We are surrounded by state land for those whom like to hunt when in season. This is definitely an all seasons location for all your outdoor pleasures.

After Dunes Delight

Situated 5 minutes North of downtown Roscommon. This newly renovated 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house on 8 acres is peaceful, but still close to food and fun. 3 miles south of Forest Dunes Golf Course, 1 1/2 miles south of the Mason Tract of the AuSable river, 15 minutes from the Higgins Lake state park, and surrounded by State land and National Forest. Golfing, hiking, bon fires, hunting, fishing, ATV fun, and snowmobiling are right here.

The Castaway on the Ausable River Holy Waters

Tucked into the tall pines alongside the Holy Waters. The Castaway offers an amazing location for enjoying all the AuSable has to offer. Just outside the kitchen guests will enjoy an outdoor area & firepit. The deck around the front of the home has a grill and river front view. The cabin itself sits about 200 feet back from the river. Entry into the river off the property is ankle deep rocky bottom. This is not a party destination.
