Welcome to our totally private, completely charming mountaintop hideaway! Note: An AWD or 4WD vehicle is required to access this cabin. Do not book unless you are driving an AWD or 4WD vehicle. The main cabin structure itself is a Chestnut Log Home originally built in 1855. Great for a romantic getaway or for a small family. We love relaxing by the campfire, stargazing, hiking, ATVing, and enjoying nature. We regularly spot deer, turkeys, and groundhogs roaming freely on the 22-acre property.

Tuscarora State Forest and Colonel Denning State Park have nice hiking trails. Blain is the closest town where you will find Fowlers Hollow Park, Kings Bakery, Earth’s Delights, Conoco View Dairy, Blain Market, and Wise Dry Goods. Just a short drive to all amenities in York and Harrisburg but you feel like you're in the woods away from it all. Wildlife is everywhere. We frequently see deer, turkey, and foxes. We are also pet friendly with a fenced in back acre. If you want to visit Gettysburg and Hershey, we are centrally located.

This home is not equipped for small children due to the large open staircase.

Hiking nearby at Colonel Denning State Park, Audubon Hawk Watch, Opossum Lake and Little Buffalo State Park. Outdoor fire pit next to the creek and propane fire pit on the back porch for rainy days. PLEASE NOTE - the cabin is in the woods, you will encounter bugs and animals.

You Can have a seat on the large porch overlooking the Conodoguinet creek and enjoy watching nature , watch your kids playing and splashing in the creek , make dinner with the BBQ grill on the back patio or be just plain lazy ! There is no tv at this place , our goal is to have our guests enjoy nature and in this way be refreshed and ready to go back to work.
