Chill on the cozy corner sofa while admiring the towering trees in this bright, inspiring hideaway. Follow your culinary inspirations and cook a delicious meal with fireside dessert, or venture out for a neighborhood walk to nearby College Avenue for shopping, restaurants, and fun. Be it relaxing or entertaining, Mimi's Place offers you the best of both worlds...a peaceful getaway in one of the East Bay's favorite neighborhoods within walking distance to urban conveniences. Please note: the unit is a private guesthouse accessed up one flight of stairs. A mobile laundry service is available, but the unit does not have a washer/dryer. The space is open yet cosy and the windows look out to trees and hills in the neighborhood. It feels far removed from the city yet you are walking distance from the adorable Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. We have a full kitchen with new appliances, wi-fi, a smart TV, and plenty of built-in storage for your belongings if you are staying for a longer visit. You have access to the entire unit as it is separate from our house and located in the front of the property. I love to meet our guests, but generally we are running different directions so only see each other upon arrival and in passing. I am always available by phone though! This one of the oldest neighborhoods in Berkeley, with established trees and gorgeous walks in the nearby hills and easy access to nearby Elmwood stores. It feels far removed from city life, but Berkeley and Oakland are still within easy reach. You probably want a car (parking is very easy in our neighborhood which is not the norm in Berkeley) or plan to take Lyft. Bart is a 15 minute walk from our house, and there is a bus route that picks up at the bottom of our street. If you are visiting Cal, the bus takes you there easily.

Welcome to San Francisco's Crocker Amazon neighborhood! Relax in this stylish, quiet space. This is a new (2022) detached studio (240 sq ft, 22 sq meters), with a private driveway entrance, and free off street parking. Settle in with the comfy queen bed, European style wet bathroom, high end kitchen area with an electric kettle, drip coffee kit, full fridge, combo toaster oven/air fryer, induction cooktop and dishwasher. I hope you enjoy the personal touches that will ensure a comfortable stay.

Our quiet street is an easy 5-minute walk (0.2 mi) from downtown San Carlos with shops and literally dozens of restaurants.

This cozy in-law suite is located in the quiet Crocker Amazon neighborhood of San Francisco. Please note that it is NOT near tourist attractions, and street parking can be challenging at night if you have a car. However, the suite is conveniently situated near major bus lines, with just a 15-minute Uber ride to SFO Airport and 15-20 minutes to downtown. We recommend using public transportation or rideshares for your exploration. Access to the suite is through the ground-floor garage.
