The Newport/Dover Rail Trail ("4 season adventure trail") is accessed from the lower yard, great for walking, cycling, snowmobiling, XC Ski, ATV. Come explore "The Heart of Maine", Dexter is only 25 minutes from Route 95, and a gateway to Moosehead, Katahdin, Acadia.

Go for walks, swim, kayak, boat, hike, or hang back and read, play games, make a meal with friends, or work, if you must. Warm up by the indoor fireplace after a nearby hike on a brisket autumn eve or roast marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit. Sit down by the lake and take in the life that surrounds you.

Rustic Country Apartment on The Moosehead Trail.

We recently acquired the house we live in which has an efficiency apartment in the back. It is cozy and private. The house is old and unique. It was previously a long term rental. We wanted to provide a restful space in the heart of Maine Highlands, the crossroads of Central Maine. We enjoy the scenic area with beautiful lakes rivers, multiuse trail systems and trail head of the 100 mile wilderness of the Appalachian Trail, Moosehead lake, Maine's largest lake, and State Parks.

Upta Camp

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Take a hike down one of the trails out back, or swim in the cool clear water of the spring fed pond off the back porch. Cozy up during a storm by the fire with a good book, or wet a line on a clear morning off the back steps and catch supper! It’s all in one comfy cabin property to get away from it all. Only a few miles to Dover-Foxcroft, or Sebec Lake. Far enough away to get away, but close enough to the amenities and sights.

The Boathouse on Sebec Lake, Cozy Glamping Retreat

The Boathouse Cottage is a cozy studio cottage with a deck overhanging Sebec Lake. Think elevated “glamping!” Studio has a queen bed w/linens, full futon and sitting area. Bathroom with shower includes towels. Kitchenette has dishes, utensils, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster oven (no stove). Furnished porch has tabletop Weber grill with fuel. Shared dock and fire pit. Owners onsite at adjacent camp. Peaceful lakeside setting perfect for relaxing getaways.

This three story restored 1890 home has been decorated as a love letter to Maine. You’ll find coastal nods, locally inspired artwork, and vintage details that reflect the state’s seafaring heritage and woodland soul. Weathered woods and nautical accents in the interiors for understated cozy elegance. This home offers an authentic Maine backdrop for every season. Great for couples, families, and small groups. Please note that there are NO bedrooms on the first floor.

Charming, Year Round Lake Front Camp

We grew up spending our summers on Sebec Lake, and there's a reason the state motto is 'The Way Life Should Be'. This camp is lake front property, with outdoor seating, dining and swimming steps from the back door. The spacious layout of the camp provides the perfect family friendly escape any time of the year! In the winter there is plenty of ice fishing and snowmobile trails in the area, so it's the perfect place to share time with family and friends year-round!

Canoodlin is the last point of land before the “big lake” and offers something for everyone with loon calls, fire pit, hammocks, hikes, fishing, canoeing, SUP, swimming and just taking in the beautiful sunset and views of Borestone from the well appointed, private cabin. Two master bedrooms, each with 1 king or 2 twin beds & its own full bathroom. Gas fireplace, kitchen with dishwasher, bbq & washer/dryer. Also included is fast wifi streaming, games and puzzles.
