Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub. During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰

We have a star gazing area where you will be awed by the clear sky and see the Milky Way and all the constellations. Our Retreat Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, including a 3 pin EV charging port. Your hosts, Drew and Sally, will meet you and show you around their small farm including cows, chickens and native birds, and browse the large vegetable gardens and orchard.

This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. We are a working farm running cattle, a couple of chickens and 2 dogs.

Our lovely 2-bedroom cottage is situated on a large section surrounded by beautiful English style gardens. The gardens are well established, have beautiful hedges, flower beds and wildlife. We have a private outdoor area which has a BBQ and outdoor furniture so you can enjoy comfortable outdoor living. The cottage was redecorated in July 2025. The cottage has a heat pump. It's an easy a 1-minute car journey into the centre of Geraldine, or a 15-minute flat walk.

Aoraki Mount Cook is 2 hours distance and Tekapo is 1 hour.
