I'm Clare, your host, and I’m delighted to welcome you to Biscuit Cottage; a special project I consider to be a reflection of me, and the experiences I’ve gained from 30 years of styling, all around the world! I hope you will find it stylish, elegant & cosy, and I hope you will love our amazing village, Milford on Sea. Our village is a true hidden gem, full of independent shops, restaurants & bars. Your accommodation overlooks the village green, and you're less than a mile from the beach!

Palmerston House is an impressive 3 bedroom terraced house, part of the 150 year old Grade I listed Golden Hill Fort. The Fort is surrounded by Golden Hill Country Park, located between the harbour town of Yarmouth and the village of Freshwater. 360 degree views from the communal roof garden stretch across the Solent, English Channel and West Wight countryside. This family friendly home away from home sleeps 7 in 3 double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and has a spacious open plan kitchen/living room.

The Well House at Golden Hill Fort offers guests a truly unique family friendly holiday experience. Set in a gated complex, converted from an old Victorian fort, and within the delightful Golden Hill Country Park, this wonderful four bedroom home offers spacious, comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Just a short 5 minute drive from the picturesque town of Yarmouth providing frequent ferry crossings to Lymington, the house is less than a 15 minute walk to the beach at Colwell Bay.

We want you to kick back and relax in this calm perfectly located cabin. It is located 2.6 miles away to the historic town of Yarmouth and is on the Isle of Wight Cycle route and perfectly situated for the huge amounts of walking trails West Wight has to offer through countryside and woodlands, beaches and towns.

Tiny home-garden cabin near Freshwater Bay

The Bird Hide is ideal for singles or couples (max 2 people) interested in exploring the local area with its own garden and separate access. A comfortable king size bed, seating area and with it's own dining and inbuilt kitchen, it offers all you need for a short stay. It has a separate bathroom, as well as on outside decking area to catch the evening sun. The Bird Hide is 5 minutes walk from Freshwater Bay, even closer to footpaths to the Downs and the local village via the SSSI trail.

‘Smugglers’ quirky hideaway

Smugglers was once an old stable attached to the back of our house. It’s still linked to the house, but is self contained. It’s unusual shapes and fixtures make it very quirky and would suit people that like something a bit different. There is a main double bed and a mezzanine deck ideal for relaxing on. The little kitchen allows you to stay in and cook for yourself if you fancy a cozy night in. The courtyard in front of smugglers can be used for bbq’s if the weather is kind!

Bungalow with Sea Views

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful getaway! A period Arts and Crafts bungalow with a sunny, fenced, garden overlooking Freshwater Bay. You are welcome to bring your dog and walk from the front door in every direction to enjoy the West Wight. Enjoy a short stroll down to Freshwater Bay, continue further all the way to the Needles in one direction. Step out of the back gate and onto the bridleway leading over the downs to our favourite place, Compton Bay.

Waterlodge 1

The Waterlodge in Yarmouth Harbour, offers a unique holiday experience. The floating apartments are designed to provide a comfortable and peaceful retreat with easy access to the town of Yarmouth. The lodge is modern and stylish, each apartment has a comfortable living area with a sofa, TV, and dining table, a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, dishwasher and fridge. Also a balcony with outdoor seating, a furnished roof terrace with panoramic views of the Solent.

Emma’s Hut is a light and airy self contained bedroom with ensuite shower room and separate area with catering facilities. We are only 20 minutes drive from the Needles and even closer to Freshwater Bay and minutes from the Coastal Path. The historic town of Yarmouth has a great choice of places to eat, a Grade 2 listed pier a castle and fabulous views across the Solent. The ferry comes into Yarmouth from Lymington and is a short walk up the hill to our home.

We would love to Welcome visitors to “Yarmouth Country Cottages” situated in the West Wight, close to Colwell Bay, Totland Bay and Freshwater Bay. This new build, has a warm and homely feel. Whilst an excellent area for walkers and cyclists alike with the famous Tennyson Trail leading to The Needles.
