Birdhouse on the Beach is steps away from the beach and has an amazing view, in fact you basically drive on the beach to get to the house. The inside of the house is cozy and remodeled in January of 2021! The kitchen, bath, and living room were completely redone. A washer and dryer was added to the house along with 2 sets of bunk beds. Cozy barn apartment on a lovely small farm, secluded and quiet in the country. Located halfway between downtown Houston and the Galveston beaches, it's just a few minutes to lots of shopping and restaurants, with Kemah Boardwalk and Nasa Space Center a short drive away. Winding creek through the property, with chickens and two horses grazing in the pasture. Lots of sheep, pigs, and donkeys next door. Property has private swimming pool for your enjoyment.

The 1847 Powhattan House & Living History Museum

Until there is time-travel, staying in the 1847 Powhatan House may be the next best thing. This is the 3rd oldest house in Galveston and has an amazing, almost unbelievable history. This beautiful Greek Revival style home is located 3 blocks from the beach and close to the Strand. The story of the house is told in a brief documentary on YouTube entitled “The Amazing History of Galveston's 1847 Powhatan House.”
