The cabin is close to Hvalfjörður, Hvammsvík Hot springs, Glymur (Iceland's tallest waterfall), Thingvellir (30 min), Golden Circle and Snæfellsnes (170 km). Great opportunity to see the Northern lights if weather allows.

The location is exceptional, located hillside in a beautiful nature reserve, still very close to the downtown Reykjavik, 20 min drive. In winter Dec-March 4x4 car is essential in Iceland. No public transport. Enjoy the hot tube in the evening and watch for the Northern Lights, then rest inside and amid wood paneling that extends to the vaulted ceilings, and look out forest-wards from the deck. The International airport is 40-50 minutes drive. Ideal located for exploring the South West.

Relax after a busy day in front of the fireplace and / or the salt water hot tub, whilst enjoying the northern lights.

The residence of the Icelandic president ( Bessastadir) is only at 5 minutes walking distance and Reykjavik city is at 20 minutes driving distance. The apartment has a special fisherman Icelandic atmosphere. Beaches are at a walking distance and this is the perfect place for walking, cycling, running and horse riding, or bird or seal watching.

The house is a fantastic renovated 1930s town house in the Norðurmýri residential neighbourhood in the centre of Reykjavík. On the main floor there is a hall, dining room, kitchen, TV room with a sofa and the living room with a beautiful fireplace and access to the garden. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. The main bedroom has a door to the balconies. Main bedroom has a 180 cm bed, other big bed room has two 90 cm single beds and the small room has a 140 cm bed.

In walking distance you have a grocery store, big swimming pool, the famous Sky lagoon and the fabulous pub Mossley. Also you have the largest shopping center in Iceland called Smáralind in walking distance.
