Light the fire pit and dress for dinner in the vine-covered garden at a peaceful retreat with a soothing waterfall. Zen beachy decor and coastal paintings set the scene indoors, with abundant natural light enhancing easy open-plan living. Pets are welcome with a small cleaning fee of a $50 (one time fee) and additional pets $25 (one time fee). The main room is 12'x17'. Closet is 6 1/2' long. Bathroom 4'x5 1/2' + shower 3'3" x 3'3". kitchen 4 1/2' x 8". Simple breakfast served. Your own private entrance, plenty of parking on the street, nice neighborhood. We are available if you have any questions or need information on the area. 2 night minimum please. The cottage is tucked away off the street in a quiet, safe neighborhood where residents walk their dogs in pleasant weather. Nearby downtown Redwood City is home to shops and groceries and freeways and public transportation are within easy reach. There is a bus that runs at the corner of our block, it would take you to downtown Redwood City or travel down the El Camino Real. There is a train depot downtown as well. Pets - 2 small dogs in the main house, 2 outdoor cats.

This is in an older, diverse neighborhood, with friendly Hispanic, Portuguese, Viet, Black and White neighbors, and a low crime rate. The pets in the listing are actually in the front house. The back house is pet friendly, but cleaned after each visit. There are neighborhood cats outside. Easy access to bus lines, and two major highways (101 and 280).

A luxurious retreat above the San Jose Hills with amazing views of downtown San Jose all the way to San Francisco Bay. Secluded and peaceful surroundings but only 10 mins. to downtown. This is a gated property that is secured. The property has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with a gourmet kitchen. Included built-in washer n dryer. Located in a historical neighborhood dating to the early 1930's. The cabana has lots of natural light. Privacy walls. A private patio and entrance. The spacious cabana features a stone fireplace, a grand queen bed, large bathroom with a shower for 2. The vibe is of peace and serenity. The colors are muted and sparsely decorated. The bed sheets, pillow and mattress protectors and blanket are changed after each stay. The bath towels are warm. ZEN!

Our home was originally built in the 1930s. The previous owners lived here until we purchased it in 2016. In the ’90s, her grandkids added onto the house and put up a wall to create a small one-bedroom unit for her to live in and they stayed in the rest of the house while caring for her. When we bought the house, we made some light updates, and we feel really lucky to now be able to share this small space with guests visiting Santa Cruz County.
