The perfect spot to indulge and watch the sunset, and fall asleep listening to the waves! 🌊🏄‍♀️ Head towards town with a 5min drive to Wainui Beach and shop, a further 10-minutes to Gisborne. Or head up highway 35 to explore the East Coast, with Tatapouri over the hill and 10min to Puawa marine reserve. Beach is safe & peaceful for swimming and surfing for all abilities.

Esplanade Town House

Location is epic for this 2-bedroom townhouse just over the bridge on the Esplanade with river and wharf views. Within walking distance of the city shops, 7 restaurants and bars. Raglan Roast and a Four Square just a block away. The Tairawhiti Museum and the Farmers Market just over the river. Waikanae beach, a 15 minute walk down the rivers walkway. The Esplanade Townhouse is comfortable, and is tastefully decorated with an impressive array of original Gisborne Artwork. Nau mai haere mai!

Step from the front lawn onto wonderful Wainui beach - well known for its world class surf. Ideal for families ,with plenty of space to move around in the living areas deck & lawn with the spa overlooking the sea . Enjoy the majestic sunrises appearing over the eastern horizon and the magnificent sheep studded hills to the west. A few minutes walk to the local cafe & beach store and 6 minutes drive to the Gisborne city centre . Sorry PETS are NOT welcome. Our spa is currently not working.

The house is very comfortable with a Daikin Heat pump unit and oil heaters and fans in each bedroom. Relaxing over winter and summer. Dog friendly. Off-street parking.

Pōhatu Studio, A retreat by the River

Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
