Suitable for all seasons but backyard river-lounging in the warmer months may take the cake. 25 minutes from Sierra @ Tahoe and 40 mins to Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe for you skiers + boarders. Cute cabin for two! Set in the midst of Plumas National Forest, Paxton is very secluded. Walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our own private sand beach. Hiking, swimming and tubing. Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

You’ll love our place because you can sit inside or in bed and watch the river flow by. It's a peaceful place, new and modern, private and the middle of it all. It's not just a place to stay, it's a destination. QUIET people only please. We have a firm sofa sleeper. we have a couple of other mattresses we can bring in if you prefer a softer bed.
