Walk to restaurants, a brewery, antique shops and an art gallery, or access White Mountain hiking trails or Coos mountain bike trails. Washington, is a prime location for everything outdoors: year round HIKING, (1.7 miles to AT) & BIKING trails, 100s of groomed ATV/snowmobile trails, swim, fish, canoe, kayak and tube the pristine rivers, waterfalls & emerald pools and SKI THE SKI RESORTS within 10-30 miles. The small town of Gorham caters to tourists: a dozen great restaurants, antique & gift shops, railroad museum, opera house & town common all within easy walking distance of the studio.

Built during the heyday of the Grand Trunk Railway, on a residential street with ATV access, our 1858 house is an established part of the Androscoggin Valley, featuring modern updates for a comfortable self-catered stay. Close to Mt Washington (10 mins), Tuckerman's Ravine and a gateway to over 1400 miles of snowmobile / ATV trail systems & 6 interconnected parks, including Jericho State Park, as well as numerous hiking trails (Appalachian Trail). Wildcat and Sunday River resort are close-by.
