The Cottage

A rustic cottage in the middle of Darthia Farm. The farm sits along the shore of West Bay and a short trail brings you from the cottage to the salt water. We grow organic mixed veggies and fruit, raise sheep, ducks, chickens, pigs, and work with Haflinger horses. Our farm store that is open everyday except Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The property is 15 minutes away from the Schoodic Section of Acadia and is surronded is by countless hiking trails and access to fresh and salt water.

Created by my husband and I, it invites guests to unplug and reconnect with nature. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame stunning views, while curated outdoor spaces offer serenity. Located in a Dark Sky Zone, it's perfect for stargazing. Whether on the deck or under the stars, A by the bay is a peaceful haven for nature lovers. Welcome to Acadia.

Schoodic Loft Cabin "The Roost" with Kayaks

This playful cabin offers a unique spot to unwind and explore the Schoodic peninsula and Downeast Maine. Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

This stylish, former 1940s schoolhouse is one of just a few homes located along Acadia's scenic Schoodic Loop; guests can virtually hike or bike by stepping out the back door. Enjoy our crowd-free corner of Acadia or drive 7 min to the ferry for a charming boat ride to Bar Harbor. Alternatively, head up the coast for more hikes, picturesque fishing villages, quirky shops and quintessential Maine culture. At home, enjoy books, original art, a curated record collection and fresh local lobster.

Fisherman's Nook & Schoodic Retreat

Upstairs apartment, interior & exterior stairs/ all private space. Open concept living room with full kitchen. Living area: sofa with ottoman, recliner, rocker, smart TV, ceiling fan & window A/C. WiFi. Bathroom: shower, vanity, flush, washer/dryer, laundry supplies, iron, toiletries, towels, and blow dryer. Bedroom: One queen size platform bed, dresser, bedside tables, sound machine, closet, ceiling fan, window A/C. Bedroom door opens to a small private deck w/stairs to ground level.
