Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.

The Roll Inn is a very unique home. Having been built in 1870 it was built 44 years after Grand Rapids was founded. The home was originally a barn but was converted to a house in 1863 after the cathedral of St Mary’s was built . The house is located downtown and is in an area that currently is developing . The only shared area is the enclosed backyard and guests even have their own private laundry. Majority of our guests take advantage of our full kitchen and toiletries. While this is not a luxury stay it offers good value considering the area.
