Located a few hundred feet from the Iris gardens at Horton farm, a six acre garden space with over 1400 Iris varieties. Bloom season is April and May. The cottage was built in 1945 on my family's heritage farm. She's located next to the old barn alongside a small Creek. Inside you'll find a fresh colorful landscape of hand made cabinets, concrete countertops and furniture. The heated and Polished concrete floor is ready for farm life. You'll be delighted in the vintage items and local artwork.

Hike and bike at the state park across the street with its dozens of trails around Folsom Lake, then come home to a cute and efficient cottage with full kitchen, dining/living area as well as a separate bedroom. The view from the front windows is of Folsom Lake State Park; the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. A supermarket is approximately two miles away, as are several restaurants.

And yet town is only a 5 minute drive, allowing access to anything you might need during your stay. We consider our land a sacred, healing place. Before we built on this property we gave special homage to the Native peoples, and asked for blessings from the spirits to live here. We have discovered grinding rocks, shards of Chinese pottery, and ancient fire pits on the land.
