Beech Nook is a hidden gem in a semi rural location with lovely countryside walks from the doorstep. The one bedroom property is a self contained bungalow which is ideal for couples who want a peaceful stay. The host lives just next door, so is on-hand for any queries. Halifax is just a 5 minute drive away with the famous Piece Hall, Shibden Hall and many bars and restaurants. The beautiful landscape of the Calder Valley is a short drive or you can be in the Yorkshire Dales within an hour.

Situated on the cobbled Hough, our recently renovated, 18th century building boasts two en-suite bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/diner and a cosy , first floor lounge with panoramic views over Shibden Hall and estate. Or a 30 minute train ride from Halifax.We have numerous golf courses.Local bar and restaurants within walking distance . The towns of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden are only a short drive away.

Bus stops are close by (for Huddersfield and Bradford) and there is easy access to the M62 (approximately 2 miles away). Taxis are available from Huddersfield train station.

We’re only a 2 minute walk to the historic Shibden Park, where you’ll find a cafe, boating lake, land train and model railway, a well equipped modern playground and of course the majestic Shibden Hall.

There’s one king sized bed . 1 Queen sized bed and 1 double bed. I renovated the place top to bottom a few years ago . Guests will have 2 bathrooms. If you like minimalist style this may not be for you, however if you love character, cosyness and a home away from home, welcome to my cottage!
