Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

There are plenty of places to enjoy on the peninsula and then perfect to relax in the evening. We also own Nónsteinn and Grásteinn cabins for 2. Kirkjufell - Kirkjufellsfoss - Snæfellsjökull - Water cave - lava fields - black beaches - bird life - whale watching - Kayak- Mountain view - northern lights - sunset, quietness, wonderful restaurants and so much more that you can experience here or nearby. Cozy Cottage, Mountain view

This nice, comfortable and relaxing cottage is ideally located in the golden circle in the South coast of Iceland. It's a great location to see the Northern lights /Aurora Borealis if the weather conditions are right. The cottage is one area and has double bed (160x200cm) and a sleeping sofa. We provide linen, towels and soap etc. Our kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need. We have a baby crib and high chair for your children. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.

A quiet place with a stunning view for small group

The house is located on a small farm in north Iceland. Guests have a lot of privacy in the house as it stands alone. You might see our horses and even sheep close to the house. Our dog and cat are friendly and might pay you a visit. You can go for short walks among horses, sheep and birds in a varied landscape. During the winter, there is a unique experience to sit in the hot tub and watch the northern lights. The house is a good place for home office due to high speed wi-fi and facilities.

Slakaðu á í þessari rólegu og glæsilegu nýju eign. Húsið er í byggingu og verður tilbúið i byrjun Júní 2024, þess vegna eru eingöngu mundir af því að utan þar sem innviðið er ekki tilbúið fyrr en þá. Í húsinu eru tvö svefnherbergi, baðherbergi, stofa, borðstofa og eldhús. Húsið er staðsett um 5 km frá Kirkjubæjarklaustri og er því mitt á milli The black sand beach í Vík og The national park Skaftafell og Jökulsárlón í austri. Frá húsinu er bæði útsýni að Vatnajökli og Mýrdalsjökli.

Peaceful and lovely cottage on the land of farm Syðri-Hagi with lovely ocean views. Located on the west side of Eyjafjörður, with majestic mountain ranges and welcoming valleys. The cottage Sólsetur (Sunset) is 25 square meters, built 2016-2017. The cottage has one bedroom with two beds and a sleepingcouch for two in the livingroom. The kitchen is fully equiped. Facilities for four persons. On the terrace there is a geothermal hot tub and a gas grill.

The Green Garden Country Home

Relax with family or friends at this peaceful green garden country home. Located roughly 10km from Kirkjubæjarklaustur and the ring road, in the south east of Iceland. An old farmhouse with a long and unique history, serene and tranquil, secluded and beautiful. Take a trip to the past by visiting your special house, built in 1946 for a household of 15. Take the the day off in our luscious and wild garden, and make dinner in a custom built 70's kitchen.

Enjoy the views of Vatnajökull Glacier in your own private cabin. It has sleeps for up to 4 guests as well as a kitchenette and a private bathroom. Every cabin has free wi-fi. Guests can bring their own food and cook simple meals or visit restaurants in the vicinity. Nearby, you will find beautiful hiking trails and various activities, including glacier hiking, snowmobile or jeep tours and boat tours on glacier lagoons.

We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.
