The Cabin is a remote 1958 original homestead cabin that is 100% solar powered that is located 20 mins from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and about 15 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree, CA. This is a place for dreamers to reset, reflect, and create. Designed with a slow pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making coffee by drip in the morning, choosing the perfect record to put on, or by being surrounded by open views, wildlife, and a starry sky.

Situated in the High Desert on the border of Joshua Tree and 29 Palms, the location is very quiet and very convenient as it’s only 10 min drive to the village of Joshua Tree or 29 Palms, and about 15 min drive to both entrances to Joshua Tree National Park.

The Far Out is a newly renovated A-frame cabin nestled in the beautiful woods of Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Mountains. This mountain retreat sits on an acre of land complete a 1200 sq ft wooden deck and hot tub. The sounds of Strawberry Creek can be heard in the background. Set far back from the road, the cabin and the grounds offer a magnificent private space for romantic getaways, family R&R, self reflection and artistic inspiration. Beauty abounds at the The Far Out!

The cabin is off-grid with solar power, but offers all the comforts of home with a King bed, indoor fireplace & outdoor dining & seating area. This is a great spot to relax and recharge, while still being close enough to all the local attractions.
