Angela’s Retreat: An adorable countryside property

Angela’s Retreat is located in Whitwell on the Isle of Wight, approx 5 km from Ventnor. There are a variety of old stone buildings and it is home to the Isle of Wight’s oldest pub ‘The White Horse’. It is ideally situated for walks, beach days, cycling and fishing holidays. Angela’s Retreat is a self contained residence with its own entrance, small kitchenette, bathroom and 1 bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed if required. WiFi and SKY are also available, as well as parking for one car.

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you wake up in our pine clad eco lodge. It has a fully fenced garden. Watch the sunrise over the downland with the village of Godshill and its church spire in the foreground.Take a short walk to the wildlife pond and ancient woodland within the grounds or sit on the sheltered veranda and watch the ponies grazing in the paddock, whatever the weather inside with the wood burning stove alight looking out, the view is spectacular. Pygmy goats graze in the orchard.

Our location is a rare mix of being in the New Forest on the Solent and completely remote at the end of a gravel track. Waking up here you smell the sea and hear the birds and sometimes the cowes if the are in the field. It is a real hidden gem and often described by friends as the most beautiful location in Lymington and around. You can walk along the shore for miles, go for a swim in the Solent or cycle around the beautiful lanes around us. It really is all here on our doorstep to enjoy.
