Our home is on a quiet 3 acre property just 5 miles from town. We have vegetable gardens, fruit orchards and dozens of berry bushes. We have amazing views of the Olympic Mountains and our neighbor is a lavender farm! The studio apartment is a bright, sunny place which is attached to our home, but has its own entrance. It's a wonderful venue for visitors to the area being close to both the water and the mountains and the lavender farms. We are a short ferry ride to both Victoria and Seattle.

As the valley became more residential the cottage has been nicely converted to a comfortable indoor/outdoor living space. Pasture and farm still abound and mix with wildlife and recreation. Olympic National Park and Forest just to the south. Strait of Juan de Fuca and Dungeness Recreation Area to the north. Pacific Ocean to the west and Hood Canal and Seattle to the east.

From the shared lower deck, sit and enjoy your coffee or wine and look right down the Elwha Valley to the majestic Olympic Mountains with a view of the Elwha River and Mt. Carrie glacier. The Hiker's Cabin serves as an ideal base for daily excursions to explore Olympic National Park and local beaches. Walk directly from the Hiker’s Cabin onto trails leading into the park!

Beautiful landscaping with a trout pond, large yard, in season berries on the bushes, produce in the garden, fresh eggs in the chicken coop and catch and release trout fishing.
