Located on beautiful Damariscotta Lake, "Loon Lodge" is a rustic cabin from another era. Fall asleep to the sound of crickets and frogs and wake every morning to the call of the lake's many loons. The cabin is 30 minutes from Augusta and 15 minutes from Damariscotta. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy climbing the Camden Hills-a quick 45 minute drive from the lake. You’ll love my place because of the views, the ambiance, the people, and the location. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

Gorgeous Lake House Right on the Water!

A lovely traditional Maine cottage on Damariscotta Lake, this seasonal rental features a private shorefront area with a deck, a jetty for swimming and boat access, and a private dock with canoes and paddleboat. The cottage offers a cozy retreat on a beautiful lake, with the many attractions of midcoast Maine only a short drive away. The cottage is available with a three-day minimum stay. We cannot accept third-party bookings. The person making the reservation must stay at the cottage.

Maybelle is an 8x18 cabin with a full-size loft bed, a Cubic Mini Woodstove (wood provided), Natures Head Composting Toilet and Jetsetter massaging hot tub. Kayaks, paddle board, & canoe included . Hiking trails (some solar lit) surround your cabin. Outside is a fire pit and a quick path to the water. Maybelle's kitchen has all the cooking essentials and there's a small propane grill outside & the fire pit for cooking. Cell reception is okay in the cabin, wifi is from a Starlink booster!

Relax and enjoy this year-round peaceful Lakefront home with all the amenities. Kayak use included in the rental price. (There are 5 Kayaks, life jackets and paddles) Private dock for your boat. Outside fire pit, screened in Gazebo and outside kitchen. Two beds and two baths. Sleeps 4 to 5. Washer and dryer. Air conditioning and heat. BREEZE Treehouse, at The Appleton Retreat is located on 120 acres of private land, bordered by 1,300 acres of a protected nature conservancy. To the south is the Pettengill Stream a resource protected area and to the north a large secluded pond. BREEZE does not have a hot tub but guests may reserve the sauna, which is close by and private. The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.
