Our holiday park, De Tulpenacker, boasts a unique, green setting by the water, close to the Netherlands' larger cities and the beach. Here, you'll experience the tranquility of the meadows surrounding you, yet entertainment is close by. Amsterdam is only a 30-minute drive from our park. In spring, the bulb fields and Keukenhof Gardens are also easily accessible. It's the ideal place to enjoy a holiday with your family, friends, and relatives. This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

Ilpendam is a picturesque village in Waterland, 8 km north of Amsterdam. We have the advantages of the countryside, on the other hand we are in 10 min by car or bus to the A'dam Metro! After a hectic day in the city, you can relax here in nature. There is a large wooden deck on the water with table and chairs. Here you can swim if you like or paddle with our borrowed canoes. There's also a terrace in front of the house, with a table and 3 chairs where you can have breakfast in the morning sun.

Our romantic windmill (1874) is just a few miles from Amsterdam in wide green fields and along a meandering river: "Gein". Easy access to the A'dam. by car, train or by bike. You have the entire windmill to yourself. Three floors, 3 bedrooms with double beds: it easily sleeps 6, a kitchen, living, 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath/shower. Bikes available + kayak. Just leave some extra money if you did use them. No need to reserve ahead. Great swimming water and small landing just in front.

Van uit het 'veilinghuisje', grenzend aan werelderfgoed De Beemster, en natuurgebied de Mijzen, kunt u prachtig wandelen en fietsen. Of zoek de rust op het water met onze kano's, een aanrader! Ons sfeervolle huisje staat achter in de tuin, en is opgebouwd uit de oude bouwmaterialen van de oude veiling van Avenhorn. Gunstig gelegen op 10-40 km. van: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. Maar zeker ook Alkmaar, de Zaanse schans, Amsterdam en niet te vergeten de kust van N.Holland.

The spectacular view of the water immidiatly transforms the mind after a visit in Amsterdam. From this quiet area it is only 10 minutes by public transport to the Central Station in Amsterdam.
