Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Double glazed, fully insulated, infinity gas and a 100 year old weeping willow tree to relax and unwind under. Situated on a traditional New Zealand sheep and beef hill country farm.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Our restored shearers quarters are modern, warm, bright and comfortable. Double glazed, fireplace, insulated, infinity gas and beautifully decorated. We have free Wifi. ChromeCast on the TV. Set in the grounds of Flat Hills Cafe in the scenic Rangitikei Valley. This Pod can accomodate up to 4 people. We have a shower & toilet block as well as a large campers lounge with 50inch tv, book and toy corner and kitchen. Each Pod has its own TV, fridge plus tea & coffee making facilities. There is a BBQ to use on those finer evenings & free Wifi in the cafe grounds. For families we have a play area with bouncy castle, farm animals & even a maze!! **CAFE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS**
