The Cool NC Mountains

Our home is located in the Mount Mitchell Golf Community about an hour from Asheville. Unfortunately, this once highly rated public course has suffered greatly from storms and is not playable. However, hiking and sightseeing are the best! We're 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and situated among the Pisgah National Forest where waterfalls and trails are accessible. Our spacious home sits among trees overlooking the 18th fairway. Come enjoy the beauty of the area!

The Retreat at Parson's Glen

Parson's Glen is close to Roan Mountain, Mt. Mitchell and just minutes away from the Penland School of Crafts, Spruce Pine and Bakersville. We are located on 10 secluded acres with striking mountain views, lush landscapes and abundant wildlife. After exploring artist studios, gem mining, river rafting, hiking mountain trails, dining at local restaurants, or a day of shopping, return and relax on our large wrap-around front porch and wait for the fireflies to appear.

Newberry Creek Cabin

Welcoming guests for spring of 2025!!! While the cabin and property did not sustain any damage from Hurricane Helene the area in which we are located did. We ask you to be understanding to our community and We would love for you to come and support us in this area and time! Clear Branch Cabin is located on 19 acres, with a surrounding forest and a small stream on the property. The cabin is 500 square feet with an additional 150 square feet of covered porch. It has an open floor plan, queen size bed, couch, dining table on the deck, island seating in the kitchen, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor fire pit, outdoor dinning, gas grill, and more.
