Perfect for two people & a dog, we are located on the Hammond Trail, a 5.5 mile scenic route within walking distance of the ocean or Mad River. We are right off the highway and an easy drive to beaches and redwoods. Your comfort and ease are our #1 priority! 👌 Let us know if you are returning guests! 👌 Gated with private, secure parking and fully fenced in yards, this one-bedroom home is very clean and custom built with a comfy queen bed, sleeper sofa, & full kitchen. Also an outdoor sauna.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. We are 5 minutes to shopping and dinning and another five to the fabulous Moonstone Beach.

The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away, not 1 hour. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal.
