"You can't beat the location of this beautiful home. Just a few steps out the door to a quiet beach on a quaint cove in February Point. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and Sasha was extremely and responsive and helpful whenever we had a question or need."
"House is beautiful, the water a perfect! Best beach we have ever been on. There’s a beach a few houses down, the Sea Escape House always had a high tide but we were able to swim or kayak down to the other beach. A few tip: - download WhatsApp to communicate with the contacts on Greg’s list, best way to communicate in the US and when you arrive -Patrick the driver can stop at the local grocery store on your way from airport so you can pick up food and beverage -Judy was easy to communicate with for a car rental - cost of food is pretty expensive, example $6 for a dozen of eggs. My family and I checked as much food (including meat) as we could for our time in the Exumas. -sand flies are everywhere, bring bug spray!!!"
"Due to some issue with the unit, Guido upgraded us to another place. We really appreciated that he didn’t just cancel our reservation and leave us with no options. Communication with Guido was easy via phone and txt message. Overall a great experience with the host."
"BOOK NOW! DO NOT WAIT! The BEST rental we have ever stayed at! My husband and I stayed at Jack’s Island House in Exuma July 3-8, 2020. The Bahamian government just reopened its islands to international travelers starting July 1st (closed for the past several months due to COVID), so my husband and I made it in “under the wire” so to speak. Traveling to Exuma: After several flight cancelations, we were able to find a flight on Silver Airlines from Fort Lauderdale. Our return flight on American did not get cancelled, though, so I believe more flight are opening up. The Bahamian government does require a COVID test in order to enter (within 10 days of entering the country). Once you have your results, you will need to upload those on the Bahamian Ministry of Health website (along with filling out a questionnaire). You will get a certificate sent back to you via email. Print out both your test results and the heath certificate. They will check both documents at the ticket counter, at boarding, and at immigration. Also, bring a mask as it is required on the plane and almost everywhere indoors in Exuma (grocery stores, liquor stores, etc). The Island House: Once on Exuma, Jack personally met us at the house and explained everything. The house is absolutely amazing - plenty of beds/baths, granite/marble countertops, and beautifully appointed. The pictures don’t do it justice! It had every appliance and amenity you could want (even an ice cream maker, air fryer, and waffle maker just to make a few). The 2 outdoor showers were great as well - good place to shower off after being in the water. The house manual (that you will be sent once you book) is extremely helpful - lots of good tips on beaches, restaurants, tips for the house, etc). As amazing as the house was, the location was even better! It was truly like you were on your own island. The entire right hand side of the house is a nature preserve (fun to explore), so no other houses are built there. We also loved the paddle boards and kayaks, which we used every day. There is a blue hole about 10 min paddle away from the dock and deserted islands you can paddle to right from the house (about an hour paddle away). And the private dock and beach were so much fun! We jumped off the dock all day long and had a blast on the rope swing. On island: On Exuma, we felt very safe (for those worried about COVID). Although, some activities weren’t quite open yet. During the time we were there, swimming with the pigs and scuba diving was not available yet, but they were opening up soon after we left. We didn’t mind though (good excuse to come back!). We explored the island, went to several deserted beaches (water was like nothing we’ve seen before), and took the water taxi over to Stocking Island (pig roast on Sundays and the conch salad is a MUST try). Grocery store, liquor store, and butcher shop were all fine. We were able to get all of the grocery staples we needed. A rental car is a must (unless you just want to hang out at the house). Jacks Island House is at the end of a long and bumpy unpaved road, so getting a larger car was helpful (we had a Rav 4). All 4 major rental car companies are right at the airport - you can walk there once you clear customs. Now, if you’re looking for major resorts and big cities, Exuma probably isn’t for you. Most of the island is undeveloped, but that’s what we loved about it! We’ve been to the “big resorts” on other vacations and wanted something different and more secluded. My husband and I were the only people all day at the three beaches we visited! Amazing! Overall, our trip to Exuma was one of the best we’ve experienced . . . As was Jacks Island House! We will be back!!"
"Villa-O was a dream! A cute, clean house with everything you would need. It was great for hosting people and the views from the backyard were incredible. Omar and Val are very kind and responsive to all and any questions."
"This little slice of heaven is just what Summer time calls for! From the perfectly sparkling beautiful blue water and white sand beaches to the swim up bar and delicious food. The Cabana was adorable and dreamy! With the front doors that open to a plush comfy bed with a relaxing view of the beach from bed. My most favorite was the amazing outdoor shower!!! This has been a favorite for us for the last two years and we will be staying for much longer next time!!"
"Ana was amazing!!! Great communication and an amazing house! We already are planning on renting this same house again next year and making this a yearly event with friends. We had engine issues with our boat and had to stay two extra nights and Ana was able to accommodate us. Greatly appreciated!"
