Plenty of space to relax outdoors makes this home amazing! The house has many large windows, tall ceilings, and skylights that allow a ton of natural light to come in and helps make the home feel very spacious! -10 min to Southwest Harbor -13 min to Acadia National Park [Cadillac Mountain Entrance] -17 min to Downtown Bar Harbor

Peaceful & pet friendly acre near Acadia in natural, wooded setting. Fast WiFi, view to Ripples Pond (a wildlife sanctuary), & fenced in backyard. Big 1 bed cottage has comfy King mattress + 2 sleeper futons. The Cabin (only open May 1-Oct 31) has kitchenette, bathroom & Queen bed. A backyard path to hammock & chill spot by Ripples (view only, but 1/2 mile away is Long Pond for swimming, canoe/kayak rental). Grill. Firepit. Tranquility! NOTE: Cabin open May-Oct + has ceiling+box fans but no A/C

Both our houses are designed in the contemporary style. We used custom made decor and cherry tree furniture. A lot of windows, glass doors, bright and open space are inside the house. It is very quiet outside. You most likely will be alone at the beach. We share the whole sea cove with only one neighboring house. It is a pure paradise if you want to live on the beach on your own and within minutes of driving to the main local attractions. You'll be amazed of our botanical garden and landscape.

Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.
