The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious, gourmet free breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner.

We have remodeled two single-story historic homes into several patio rooms with thick adobe walls. hand-hewn vigas, custom Talavera tiles and saltillo tiled floors. Spend your day in charming Chama or nearby tourist favorite Pagosa Springs; ride our own Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad or picnic on the Continental Divide Trail. Then enjoy an evening in your lovely room or wander the property listening to the wild songs of birds, bugling elk, and wind in the pines around the campfire. You won't want to leave.
