This sunny contemporary gem focuses on our commitment to local and sustainably sourced food, wine, and crafts. With a full kitchen, you can enjoy the comforts of a meal cooked “at home” from the local farmer’s market, or walk to superb local eateries. We will share maps to our favorite swimming hole on the Russian River or to ocean beaches, or introduce you to excellent local vintners.

My house in Forestville is a walk to the river (Steelhead County Beach), near endless wineries, canoe rentals, gorgeous Sonoma coast beaches, Santa Rosa airport, a bicycle trail through West County with bike rentals in downtown Forestville offering immediate access to the trail, and a very well-stocked little grocery store a 5-minute walk down the hill. Lovely back roads take you to Healdsburg to the north or Sebastopol to the south. My dog & I stay in a basement studio when guests are here.

Local grocery stores are within a mile, a 10-minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa, 45-minute drive to the coast and little over an hour to San Francisco. Cradled in the rolling hills of Point Reyes the Windsong Yurt and the Point Reyes House are thoughtfully located nearby each other on four acres at the end a country road, just a 2-minute drive to the center of Point Reyes Station. Close by are The Pt Reyes National Seashore and Tomales Bay. The Sonoma and Napa wine regions are a beautiful 1 to 2 hour drive away.
