High Mountain Stone Cottage in the Cederberg

Surely the highest cottage, at 1200m altitude, in the Cederberg with spectacular views of the Koue Bokkeveld and the Cederberg. It is set against a mountain peak surrounded by pristine Cape flora. A place of retreat and deep silence. The cottage, with its beautiful woodwork and stonework, belongs to another era. This ideally situated free standing cottage offers the best views of endless beaches. Not even a road in front of the cottage. There may be building activity taking place across the road to the back of the cottage. Back up batteries during power failures for lights, TV, Wi-Fi. Crayfish abalone not allowed on the premises. Geco Casetta - Self-Catering Cottage

Our comfortable self-catering cottage is situated on a farm, 30km from Graaff-Reinet. The thick walls are great insulators and keep the cottage warm in winter and cool in summer. There are two bedrooms and two additional single beds in the living area. Braai facilities are available out on a deck which also provides incredible views over the Tandjiesberg mountains and a farm dam with roaming springbuck. It is truly a break-away location. The sunrises are an added treat for the early birds.

The cottage is 10 min walk to the famous Elands Bay surf break and one hour drive from the renowned Cederberg mountain rock climbing spots.

Mooifontein Cottage is next to the N1, making it an easy accessible stop over. It is on a working Karoo farm. Guests can relax in a spacious Cottage that sleeps 6 people preferably family or good friends. The kitchen is fully equipped. Coffee, tea and rusks are provided. Choose between an inside or outside braai. Friendly pets and staff will make you feel at home.
