Come and enjoy sunset walks on the beach, our local brewery, a cosy cinema with great café and you will be spoilt for choice with lots of places to eat ethnic foods (dine in or take away).

This studio is private, clean & warm with a comfortable queen bed, en-suite & TV/lounge area. Trundler bed available on request NO KITCHEN. microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, cereal, tea & coffee provided Street parking. Off street parking on request Small or medium friendly house trained dogs welcome, $25 per booking. Dogs not to be left for more than 2 hrs. An historic cottage in a sheltered dell in the country near Makara Beach, fully restored Te whare iti is 10-15 minutes walk from the rugged Makara coast and roughly 35 minutes from the Wellington CBD. The preserved exterior enfolds very clean, warm and comfortable modern amenities. Importantly- you must provide your own transport as there is no public transport to Makara from Karori the nearest suburb, some 9.5 kms away. Makara is true NZ countryside with a windy, narrow road to match!.

Station Cottage, Khandallah

This is a comfortable self contained one bedroom cottage at the rear of a large garden behind our home. Our villa is well over a century old. The train station is next door and 20 minute on the train takes you to the city and Stadium. There’s a restaurant and a cafe just outside our gate and a 10 minute walk to the village where there is a pub, more cafe/dining options, supermarket and shopping. Walking/hiking up Mt Kau Kau and along the Northern Walkways is right at our doorstep

The location is in a residential area with wonderful mountain and valley views with the Wellington central visible beyond. but the place is close to CDB and only a 10-minute drive away. The room is tucked away behind, not along the road, so it is a safe and quiet place to stay. In the seasons, You will aware of beautiful birdsong when you wake up in the morning. Also It is an ideal location for a stopover at the ferry port from north to south or for a short stay during a journey.

Green Apple Cabin

Beautiful quiet "tiny house" garden retreat with mezzanine sleeping loft; very simple but warm and cosy. Carpeted, insulated and double glazed. Sleeps two upstairs on two single mattresses. You need to be agile enough to climb the ladder to the sleeping loft. Own shower and toilet a few metres from the cabin. Heater, kettle, fridge, microwave, toaster and basin in cabin. Wifi. Simple breakfast ingredients and hot drinks provided.
