Wood River Retreat: Private Cabin Above the River

Extremely private wooded getaway nestled deep in the woods overlooking the Wood River, about an hour drive from the Twin Cities & 1.5 miles from the St Croix River. With many modern touches, it's still very much a cabin. Relax on the wood deck on top of the ravine or in the large screen porch. Get cozy by the wood-stove, the new sauna, fire-pit or swim in the river. Enjoy total seclusion or visit many local restaurants & parks with great hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, and skiing.

Our cozy cabin is located under tall pine trees on a beautiful, northern lake where loons and eagles frequent. Wood Lake is easily commutable - 80 miles from the Twin Cities. Swim and fish off the dock or pontoon during the day, and sit in front of the stone fireplace at night. The Cabin has been completely remodeled, with a modern kitchen and new furnishings. It is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi with access to many streaming services. The Cardinal Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat!

The Lake House

Cozy 2Bed/2bath lake house only 70 miles from the Twin Cities. Perfect for quick getaways, for couples, families or solo travelers. Property has a fantastic view. The house has all amenities and all you need for enjoying great meals (gas grill, gas stove). Enjoy beautiful sunsets while barbecuing, or sit around the fire pit, right by the lake. Wooded acreage gives you privacy and the up north feeling, yet is less than 1 hour from MPLS, and 10 minutes from historic Pine City, a great place for you to shop and grab a bite. You can use the kayaks or tubes to float down to the St. Croix, or hang a fishing line out and see what you catch! Message me for ideas! Have a large family?
