The Wild Fern House

Our home is located 25 minutes from downtown Nevada City, and just 10 minutes from the South Fork of the Yuba River. Come enjoy some of the best biking, hiking and river access in the county.

Starting from two cargo containers, this home was built to be a seamless space to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing any luxuries while you play. Designed to be an off-grid, sustainable home, this house features a movable glass wall, which opens the living room into the outdoors facing the setting sun. Beautiful native landscaping surrounds a basketball court and covered dining area. Indoors, natural light and a playful spark runs throughout with a second story hammock to enjoy it all!

Reserve your Nature Sabbatical! This vintage and peaceful cabin is the perfect place to unplug from the craziness of the world and reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and the life you were meant to live. Science now confirms what the "Ancients" have always known, time in nature is essential to our health and well being. This cabin has 3 bedrooms (queen, 2 twins, 2 twins,) and a parlor with sofa bed (queen). There is also a roll-away twin bed. And two full bathrooms, one with a tub.

The Top Story

The Top Story is a cozy and unique apartment located on the second floor of an early 20th century farmhouse. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with a full kitchen and seating area . Great space to unplug! This rustic farmhouse chic space is incredibly charming and authentic to the area; it also includes access to the front and backyard, sun soaked and full of flowers with an organic garden and seasonal pumpkin patch. Guests can star gaze while enjoying the fire pit or outside dining area.

Graeagle Epic Adventure

Ready to truly “get away”? Whether you’re looking to relax on the porch or by the fireplace in this charming, newly remodeled home in the forest OR explore the Sierras with a hike, paddle boarding or snowshoeing…this home has something to offer everyone who needs to unwind and recharge. Enjoy being just a 5 minute walk to shops, Graeagle Market, and the Mill Pond! Tennis courts are right across the street. This home offers WiFi and a pet friendly setting for your furry family members.

Red Fox Property Graeagle/Blairsden

The Red Fox Property is a secluded cabin set back within the forest. Escape into this 3,200 sq foot residence and forget your worries behind. A state of the art kitchen and appliances makes large gatherings easy and fun. 4 bedrooms & 2 common areas the cabin allows guests their needed space. Downstairs you will find a bedroom, bar area and game lounge. Indoor Jacuzzi additional amenity $75 per stay unlimited use. Contact host if interested in adding for your stay. Paid upon arrival.

Storybook Suite

We are a pet-friendly dwelling and welcome all pets who have good house manners. As we do live upstairs with 3 pets - there will be some footsteps from time to time. This unit stays nice and cool in the summer and there are heaters to keep warm in the winter. There is lots of space to socialize and a full kitchen to utilize. Whether traveling for work or pleasure - The Storybook Suite will provide a cozy mountain farm retreat.

Close to Lake Almanor, the quaint town of Quincy, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. Tree Library and lawn games available on the historic Paxton Lodge property.
