The Fox Den is a small-but-cute suite in S. Main next to the bouldering park. It faces an actual fox den—which is how it got its name. It's a 2-minute walk to the Arkansas River, where you’ll find miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. You'll also be just a block from the South Main Square and a short stroll from the shops and restaurants of downtown BV. We own 36 acres, including Round Hill, with amazing mountain views all around. We are backed up to National Forest and BLM land. We're located two miles south of Poncha Pass Summit. Only 15-20 minutes to downtown Salida and 30 minutes to Monarch Mountain Ski Area. We have a fire pit and propane grill outside the entryway. We offer discounts for weekly/longer stays.

This secluded riverside location is just the place for a quiet and comfortable getaway, 3 miles from downtown Salida. Our rural setting is beautiful in every season, offering views of the mountain valley as well as direct access to fishing easements on the Arkansas River. The private suite is an addition to our home with its own exterior entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, and small dining area. This space is most comfortably used by 2 adults with children, or 3 adults sharing the suite.

A comfy queen bed and memory foam loveseat futon round out the accommodations. Two small children will fit on the futon, but four full-size people would require you to utilize a twin air mattress we can provide. If you are looking for affordable and comfortable in BV, this is the spot for you! Basic but cozy and clean!
